Sunbeam Fostering North West is focused on working closely with Local Authorities across North West England. It is important to have positive relationships together, being engaged and share feedback.

The agency is committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young persons and meeting and exceeding the expectations of Local Authorities.

We take a clear approach together and through the following steps:

  • Good and clear communication
  • Effective recordings
  • Sharing positive documentation together – PEPs, care plans, pathway plans, progress reports and annual reviews
  • Regular meetings or video calls together
  • Effective safeguarding
  • Promoting best practice

Types of placements provided

Sunbeam Fostering North West provides and supports a range of placements including:

  • Parent and child placements
  • Sibling groups
  • Unaccompanied asylum seeking young persons (UASC)
  • Mainstream placements
  • Supporting children with enhanced or complex needs
  • Solo placements

Foster carers receive relevant training and supports for their placements and approval terms.

Our team focuses on strong communication and information at the placement and matching stage.

Staying safe – promoting safeguarding and child protection

This is a highest priority for the agency. We work in close partnership with Local Authorities, professionals, foster carers and others on safeguarding.
