Fostering Checklist

It is great that you are looking into becoming a foster carer – there is currently an estimated shortage of 6,500 fostering families across the United Kingdom and this includes 760 families for Northwest England (Source: Fostering Network). A child comes into care every 15 minutes, you can really make a difference in the future through supporting a child or young person.

To start your fostering journey, it is knowing whether it may be right for you and also what the criteria is overall. We have put together a helpful Fostering Checklist for you to consider the key areas at the start.
